The Music Institute at the Artistic Department offers first and second cycle studies in the Jazz and Popular Music faculty. The faculty has been given a positive performance assessment by the Polish Acreditation Committee.
The major offers studying jazz and other types of contemporary music based on improvisation.
The goals of the faculty are:
helping each student discover individuality as a performer, composer and an arranger
preparing students for group and solo performances as well as understanding their future role in the media
providing education based on a comprehensive curriculum respecting both music tradition as well as major contemporary achievements
initiating local as well as international educational and artistic undertakings
